[Action]

[His clothing had finally arrived, and Vegeta's streaking through the sky, a blue trail of energy in his wake. He finally reaches the shop in a huff, catching himself with a left foot and balancing with a right as he lands.]

[Inside, he's berating the poor person running the shop-]

You-! Are my belongings finally in stock in this pathetic little dump you call a store!?

[He soon after stomps out, clothing in hand, reaching the middle of the square. But he doesn't take off right away, still brooding over his arrival in Luceti.]

[In fact, throws his clothes down onto the ground in a rage and takes out the journal he'd woken up with a few days prior.]

[During his short voice entry, he searches his back and finds his wing, still yelling into the device, yanking on it with teeth gritted. He falls to his knees, face completely blue as the shining ocean itself and is desperately trying to hold back vomiting as a few feathers or so float down beside him.]

[He'll be there for a short while before he regains the strength to stand up and walk again, back to his apartment.]

[Voice]

Listen, I don't know exactly why I've found myself here, but I am tired of this ridiculous game. I demand I be returned back to West City before I decide that I'm going to get some therapy from blasting someone. And these ludicrous wings-! They can't be removed, huh? Well we'll see about that!

[A groan and the ruffle of feathers- followed by a cry out as he's reaching back and yanking on the wing on his left side. Over the audio there's a thud and the sound of a throat holding back what one could probably assume was his lunch.]

Argh! You can't...be serious...!

From what I understand, you're just gonna regret it if you keep trying to take them off. From what I also understand, even though death isn't permanent here, it's a bitch to wake up from. And if you take the wings off, it will kill you.

...Just some advice from another new guy.

[A growl meets Derek's voice, followed by a sharp bark from the irritated and slightly ill Saiyan Prince.]

I'll make them regret ever placing a finger on me. Darn them!

[Teeth are grinding once more and a balled up fist suddenly becomes good friends with the ground beneath him.]

I'm perfectly aware that it's supposed to kill me. But death isn't something I'm so unfamiliar with, nor afraid of.

[Derek's shrug is all but audible.]

Hey, if you're cool with committing pointless suicide, go for it. Like I said, just giving some advice.

As for getting hold of them, if you figure it out, share with the class. Pretty sure you're not the only one who wants a piece of them.

I'm sure if I do there won't be much left for anyone to have a piece of!

[And there goes that stomach turn again- he hasn't quite recovered which results in a somewhat strained response over the comm.]

Thanks for the advice but I won't be needing it. And als-

[Voice gets cut off and there goes his lunch.]

[Derek will wait quietly until the guy is done retching. He figures Vegeta probably isn't done yet, and it might as well be the hunter he rages at as anyone else once he gets his second wind. Derek has the time. And the patience.]

[Saori turns on her favorite sort of feed, a video, and peers into the camera.]

Sir, I would recommend you stop pulling on your wings. If you lose them, you will die. And from what I understand it's incredibly painful.

[Aang witnesses Vegeta's self-attack on his wings and runs over in concern.]

Stop it! Please!

Pull them out and you will die an unfortunate death.

[And retch he does. He gasps and spits whatever was left out onto the ground, almost forgetting to pick up the journal he'd dropped in the process.

If Derek could see him now, his face would be a very, very bright red.]

I suppose you don't know who's bright idea it was to make these things almost impossible to remove.

[He's finally starting to get the idea that maybe...this wasn't such a smart decision.]

[Even if Derek could see Vegeta's face right now, he wouldn't comment. He's seen this before on his own world; some guys just need to rage before they start thinking clearly.]

Think they're called the Malnosso. Been told the wings are necessary if you want to stay alive on this world, but haven't been able to find a concrete reason as to why yet. Either no one knows, or the people running the place don't want us to know. Or I just haven't found the right place to look, yet.

[The feed snaps on and he's got a good view of quite a beautiful lady peering at him. But regardless, that doesn't stop his snappy tone and sharp scowl from appearing in her own feed.]

I'm a Saiyan! I can take a little pain. [But that nauseated feeling he's got right now says otherwise.] And the last thing I want right now is to look like a glorified insect.

[Vegeta's head whips around at the sound of a young voice- which is met with a glare and bared teeth.]

Quiet you little runt! I won't be made a fool of!

[Which, if not just to make a point, he reaches back yet again and grabs a hold of the other wing, wrestling with it until he manages to rip yet a few more feathers off.]

[And that turns out to be a very bad idea.]

[Because the Prince does a great job of making a fool of himself, sitting there in complete nausea, looking like something had just punched him in the stomach so hard that he almost stops breathing for a moment.]

You say that like I should be scared. Well I've got news for you; I wont sit idly by and let some all powerful force dress me up and make me into a squawking duck-!

[He's 100% done with this already. But that temper is getting in the way of his logic, not that he cares at the current moment.]

[Aang quickly runs over to try to support him.]

I'm not trying to fool you, I'm trying to help you! You're gonna die if you keep it up!

You misinterpret my words, man of great tantrums.

It is a mere warning. Removing your wings would have the same ramification as tearing one's heart out, or similar gross acts.

[The Prince goes to respond, only to start hacking over the feed- but he regains composure, catching himself with a hand, leaning back with the journal as he continues on with Derek.]

Malnosso! [Yeah, that sounded familiar now...he hadn't really looked into things much since he'd arrived.] They've got some nerve. Tch. Either way, I'm going to get to the bottom of this. No one makes a mockery of the Saiyan Prince.

[And there's no resistance to Aang's help, merely because Vegeta's completely stunned at the moment, doubled over and gasping to breathe.

Wheels start turning, clicking and clanking in his mind.

Probably should stop.]

...You-! [Boy, was that strained.] Let...go of me! [Teeth are gritted and a shock wave of pain ripples through his body.] It's going to take a lot more than that to kill me...!

[Which then results in a complete failed attempt at standing up, strength sapped completely as he flops back down on the ground, pride very hurt.]

What did you just call me? [Loki's description fits him to a T.]

And if I wanted your input, I would have asked for it.

Some of the older residents seem to believe that the Malnosso don't actually bring us here; they just grab us as we show up and do the whole surgery thing before putting us in the enclosure. Like I said, not sure how much of that is accurate, but it's in the guide. They also apparently don't know how to send us home.

Man of great tantrums? If you wish to change that to extremely grouchy old man, well, that can most definitely be arranged.

Oh, do not fret, my input is free of charge.

[He tries to do what he can to hold up the falling Saiyan, but he is quite heavy. Aang then tries to just pat Vageta reassuring only the shoulder.]

Calm down. No matter what it's like at home... while you're here, the wings're keeping you alive. You gotta live with them.

Hmmmm. [How did he miss the guide?!] Well that's great. I can't believe we're stuck in his little enclosed dome with not even a clue from our captors on how to leave. [He already tried to leave; it was very similar to a bird hitting a glass window that it didn't notice. Which thankfully no one saw.]

[An audible sigh comes over the comm, the creaking and cracking of bones- finally finding his strength again, he gets up from his previous sickly position.]

Tell me of whom I am speaking to. If I'm going to be trapped here I'd at least want to know that much.

Well, I hope you'll enjoy your name to be changed from whatever it is to "tiny speck of dust" because that's what you're going to become if you don't watch your tongue.

[Vegeta's just sitting there, brooding, knowing that Aang spoke the truth. Regardless, he shoulders off Aang's hand with a grunt, eyes narrowed, still fighting off the urge to vomit due to how many feathers he'd ripped out of his own wings in sheer fury.]

[Needless to say, he's speechless for a second, incapable of finding the words he wanted to respond. A sort of sullen silence.]

[Which results in a hand slamming into the ground, a turn and he's looking right at Aang.]

I won't be calm as long as I'm here. I might be outfitted with these deformities, but rest assured I'll make them pay for this.
