Arriving back in Luceti, he returns home, genuinely happy for a change. Because all the hard work has finally paid off. A brown, long monkey tail pokes out of a hole he's created in the seat of his pants, a reward he's been seeking since he found out it was possible. He felt stronger with it. Now he could reach his maximum potential, a level of power he hasn't had access to since he arrived here. He keeps his tail unwrapped, not feeling any danger of having it grabbed or cut off.

But, the tail comes with its own problems. Problems he hasn't had to worry about in thirty years...

A:

[In the morning, he's headed right for the Clothing Shop, getting new pants for the moment with holes in it for his tail. On the way, he seems to be walking normally, tail bobbing behind him, but he's still a little wobbly. So much that out of the blue, he loses his balance...and crashes, right into you. Or maybe he didn't crash into you, maybe you were just walking by when he started to faceplant and his tail instinctively just wrapped around your arm and took you with him on accident. Or maybe he's hanging onto you by his tail because you are heavy enough not to get dragged down.]

B:

[All that shopping has made him sort of hungry, so he heads to Seventh Heaven to get a bite to eat, mowing down food like a vacuum. But it won't go without something happening on the way there. That book you were reading, the coffee you were drinking, or whatever it is you've got, there's a tail wrapping around it trying to thieve it right out of your hands. He doesn't know his tail is doing that, but it's doing its own bit of exploring and wrapping around things. The Malnosso couldn't let him go home without a little bit of mischief, after all.]

[After all is said and done, he's going right to the Battle Dome to test things out. Inside, those who frequent the Dome would find that the man with the golden hair isn't there today- instead there's a man covered in red fur, wild brown hair, and looking quite simian instead of human. He's going through his drills, for speed and strength, taking advantages of the shifts placed on the walls to test out the power of his ki blasts, rocking the room inside. He's coming out every hour to reset the simulation, keeping the form up. He's taller, by a grand total of two more inches, setting him at a towering 5'7''.

Though there is a point in time where he's reverted back to his base form, and he's...latched his tail in what looks like a clamp. And he's leaning forward, using his body weight to pull on it almost as if he's trying to stretch his tail. Either way, it looks painful, especially when he screams in pain, gritting his teeth. What is he doing? Who knows.]

[Luck had it that Fayt had just walked out of his own simulation room, sword in hand and sweat clinging to his brow as he headed down the hallway to grab a new bottle of water. He's halfway to chugging it down when he spots Vegeta resetting his own sim, and stops.

Staring. He looked like a....] Did you turn into a .... teddy bear?

[A bizarrely menacing teddy bear with eyeshadow.

He's not even trying to be sarcastic, here.]

[An eyebrow raises as he turns and addresses the blue haired boy.]

A teddy bear? Out of everything, that's what you came up with???

[He knows he looks like a monkey but...a teddy bear?]

You're covered in fur. What am I supposed to think? [His words are pointed. What, it was the first thought that came to his dumbstruck mind, alright.

It's only then that he catches sight of the long tail, and he tilts his head slightly to get a better look.]

A.... monkey would be the next guess, though.

[misterbrief]

Ugh. [He hates it when he's called a monkey, even if it's a blatant fact that he sort of is.]

Show a little more respect for the pinnacle of power of the Saiyan race, would you.

[There's actually a veiled hint of confusion in his expression at that statement.

He knew Vegeta wasn't human, but.... man that didn't really look all that intimidating for a pinnacle of power.]

Alright, alright, but.... pinnacle of power? What is it, exactly?

[misterbrief]

[Vegeta cannot believe he's having this conversation.]

This! Super Saiyan Four, the strongest form we can attain before becoming a god. [Can't do that here though, not enough saiyans.]

[strongest form before becoming..... a god?

It didn't really look as magnificent as all that to Fayt, but the declaration makes him narrow his eyes a bit.] Seriously? You can become a god?

[misterbrief]

Of course. [He says it like it's nothing.] We Saiyans tend to extend our limits into unthinkable areas. We are the most powerful race in the universe, after all.

[etherealblast]

But a god? You mean you-- [Power wasn't everything, at least in Fayt's experience, and the way Vegeta talks strikes a nerve, lips thinning slightly. He cuts himself off though, shaking his head.]

I feel like I shouldn't ask, but what do you mean by that?

[misterbrief]

I mean exactly what I say. The legend of the super saiyan god is no longer a legend, boy. A divine entity, like nothing seen before.

[Going to just leave out the part where the form doesn't last that long and all that jazz...]

But what makes you a god, if you reach that point? You've always had more power than practically everyone else, right?

[He crosses his arms, giving Vegeta a questioning stare.]

[misterbrief]

[He doesn't really know how to answer that question. So he'll answer the second part.]

There is another god within our universe with more power than even what you see before you now. Our god form puts us on par with that being.

[etherealblast]

...So you've got power on par with that thing. Got it. [He nods to himself, seeming to relax a little. His phrasing earlier made it sound like something else entirely.]

I guess that makes sense.

[misterbrief]

Don't be a fool. We'll beat it one day. [And his stupid caretaker, too.]

We'll always find a way to win the battle.

[etherealblast]

I didn't say you wouldn't. [He shrugs, glancing up. He didn't realize it wasn't something vegeta hadn't already done.] Even if it calls itself a god, that doesn't mean it can't get beaten.

[misterbrief]

That's right. [He completely agrees with that.] That includes that blasted thing we saw on the draft. We'll get it, too.

[He doesn't now what kind of 'god' that thing might be, if it even was at all- but he's determined to beat that, too.]

[etherealblast]

Yeah. I'd like to think so, too. [If they had to before they all got out of here, anyway.... He wanted to get out of here, and if that stood in their way...

But this discussion reminded him of something he needed to show Vegeta.] Hey, speaking of fighting...

[He jerks his head towards the room he'd been heading back into.] Care to join me?

[misterbrief]

Why. [He doesn't want his time wasted.] It better be important.

[etherealblast]

[He rolls his eyes a little at Vegeta's response, standing properly.] I think I've made some progress. I figured you'd want to see.

[misterbrief]

You've made progress, eh? I'll be the judge of that. [His arms fold over his chest, and he goes to step inside a chamber.] Alright then. Let's see what you've got.

[etherealblast]

[Fayt presses some keys on the console to start up the room before stepping inside, the door sliding closed behind him as he steps further in and draws his sword.

The environment that forms around them is a grassy field dotted with rocks and trees, one that reminds him of the Palmira Plains on Elicoor.]

I've been working on channeling energy through my blade. I think I've got it down now.

[misterbrief]

Is that a fact. [He takes a look around. It's not Earth. He's sure he's seen another world similar to this one, but it's not one he's ever visited before.]

Go ahead. Let's test and see if you can put your money where your mouth is.

[etherealblast]

Fine by me. [He knew he had it down by his standards, but whether it was up to Vegeta's was the real question here. He raises his sword, taking a slow breath, concentrating on letting energy flow through himself, but slowly this time, timing the pull of energy with the slow draw of his breath in his lungs.

The result is remarkably smoother than it was before, slower to be sure, but not nearly as explosive as the usual pale lines of energy spark to life on his arms, trailing downwards to his hands, one of which he draws along the blade, igniting light along it's length with his fingers until the whole of it glows steadily.]

[misterbrief]

[He cocks his head to the side as he watches. It's not to his standards, he's expecting it to be fast, but the power comes slowly.]

I could have killed you during that amount of time. But since you've managed it this far without passing out for a change, shall we?

[etherealblast]

[he resists the urge to snort-- Vegeta would say that.]

I can do it quicker, but it'll be a bit weaker. If I pull too much too quickly, it'll knock me out. [He shrugs, the blade in his hand glowing steadily. It wasn't exhausting him like before-- the problem was, he'd realize, he was human. He couldn't channel that much energy that quickly without backlash. He needed to control the flow. Three seconds wasn't too long a wait for a decent effect, if he found the right opening, and he'd used similar blade techniques to great effect in combat, if not... quite like this.] Like this, I can sustain it and fight properly.
