[She looked so young. Exactly the way he remembered her from so long ago. And so lost right now. He almost feels that same way, it was a blast from the past, almost like he was now the time traveler instead of Trunks and she was meeting him for the first time. Almost. Except she knew him, but a very different him. A Vegeta that was still selfish and even evil, if he were to put a label on it. Was she scared now? Or just in shock, or both? He can't imagine what must be going through her mind right now, seeing him like this. She looks to him as if everything had fallen from underneath her, and to be honest it really had. He can't think that it hadn't, he represented a future that she more than likely couldn't even begin to fathom with the knowledge and facts she had now. A future that not even he could have ever of perceived, he didn't want to back then. His only goal, to be the strongest fighter alive. To defeat his ultimate opponent, Kakarot.

Who became his greatest friend. She didn't know that either, that they had grown close enough that Vegeta could call him friend.

He watches her take his hand, and he helps her up, feeling her weight on his arm. He was almost afraid she'd faint, but she didn't. He stays silent, leading her over to the couch and watches her collapse upon it, causing him to let go of a look of concern to her. She was taking this so hard right now and he could tell. It was, after all, quite a radical difference than what she's used to. Before he joins her he walks over and grabs a few glasses of water, bringing them back over and setting them on the table in front of the couch for the two of them. He has a feeling that they might need it after the initial "getting started", because he's got a lot to say and she might have a lot of questions. He sits across from her, not horribly far but not getting terribly close either, trying to give her some space for the moment.

She opens her mouth, but says nothing at first, but he understands, it's hard. He doesn't really know where to start either. Perhaps asking what exactly she remembered last? Or explaining his death to her? That was hard enough as is, maybe not yet; but in his thoughts she turns back to him and says that their son isn't born yet.

He looks down at the cushion of the couch, eyes darting back and forth. She hasn't even had their son. Have they even had a night together yet? What awful things has he said to her recently? Probably told her off, called her an assortment of insults, the list really goes on and on. It makes him feel even worse about the argument from earlier, but he won't apologize for it- no, that's not what he does. His actions have always spoken louder than his words, and he'll make it up to her in a different way. But her voice, it tears at him a little, and he lifts his head back up to look her right in the eyes, at a woman who didn't even know him anymore. Or hasn't gotten to know him. She hasn't even had the opportunity. He notes how she already knows about Trunks but hasn't had him yet. That arises a question, but he's not going to address it yet. Right now he's going to assume that Bulla told her.]

I see. Bulma, I...I know what you see before you isn't exactly what you were expecting, but I assure you I'm still the same man you know from your time. I've just changed quite a bit since then. You have to realize several years have passed between your realm of existence and my own. It's true- I settled down and had a family with you and Bulla is the proof of it. We live in the same house as you do now. [What else does he say?] I live on Earth permanently and I claim it as my new home planet. Trunks now is the CEO of Capsule Corp, but that still doesn't stop you from working in the lab day in and day out.

As for earlier, when I told you of what happens to me later in your life- I realized, then, what was really important to me after so many years of following a road to my own greatness. And it tore at me to know that some monster would claim your lives if I didn't do what I did. It was so strange, to have a sense to protect those I loved, I'd never felt it ever before and that strongly in my entire life. So you see, a lot has changed.

[His face is nothing but solemn during this, and at this point he goes back out to take her hand, to reaffirm what he was saying.]

I know you may not believe me but this is the truth. If you leave now I'll understand but if you stay then we can talk more and I can explain everything to you.
