[The video snaps on to reveal a parlor, a doorway behind the young blue-haired girl leading into the living room of the home that it had been built onto. A faint crackle of a fireplace resonates throughout the room, chairs positioned around a central table. The location of many a Fashion Club meeting, its use today was for something similar, but certainly not of the norm. Today, an important announcement was to be had, as well as an example to fashion that everyone should take note of.]

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show off something I made for a minute. Also, thanks so much to Hikaru for the sewing and fashion design lessons. If anyone wants something really gorgeous, you should totally go to Hikaru and Kaoru.

[She motions off-screen, although the person she’s trying to send some sort of signal to isn’t in view yet.]

Presenting...my first experiment in men’s fashion!

[She makes a little face when her signal isn’t responded to right away. Someone has missed his cue.]

C’mon Dad! You promised!

Alright, alright.

[From the side, he walks in, not quite looking dejected, but pretty close- hands in his pockets and looking away grouchily as he stands next to her. There’s an obvious bit of embarrassment in Vegeta’s face, but then again, it could be worse. And well, he did think he looked pretty good in the outfit she’s made for him.]

Thanks, Dad.

[Bulla is proud of her first successful attempt at making men’s clothing that doesn’t fit weirdly. She managed to go right from design, to making a simple pattern, and this is the end result. The outfit in question is a white turtleneck that’s fitted without being skin tight, complete with khaki pants, a belt, and a necklace.]

I didn’t make the necklace or the belt, but I did make the sweater and pants myself. So, Dad? How does it feel? It’s comfortable, right?

[He looks over to her, flushing lightly at the question. What, he’s got to give his opinion on this too? He didn’t sign up for this, at least he didn’t remember agreeing to such a thing. He was supposed to wear the darn thing, be done with it, and go about his business.]

It’s a shirt and pants, and they fit, I guess. I don’t see what’s so special about it.

[He folds his arms over his chest, the feel of the necklace irritating him further. He’s never worn one in his life and he can’t believe this was the start of it. Was this really fashionable for males to wear on Earth? How absurd.]

[Bulla whirls around with her hands on her hips.]

Dad! You don’t have to make it sound like it’s a chore. You could have just agreed that it’s comfortable.

Ah-! Fine, fine! [He picks at the sleeve uncomfortably.] None of it is uncomfortable to wear, and this turtleneck actually fits me in the shoulders and arms for a change, unlike that ridiculous clothing the Earthlings make back at home. There, is that what you were looking for?

[Bulla smiles and nods. She’s not going to expect him to talk about how great the clothes are. Just a little bit of public praise rather than grumping about it not being special is all she really wanted. The fact that he’s willing to support her interest is the more important thing overall.]

Thanks, Dad. That’s much better. I think we’re almost done here. But first I want to know what everyone thinks of my first try at men’s fashion! Your feedback is appreciated, everyone.

[Oh wow, Vegeta, you're so full of yourself. She has a boyfriend, okay.]

I'd find it amusing if ever my boyfriend did the same with our future daughter, you know. I take it Bulla's a splitting image of her mother? [Because you don't look like her.]

[He came across this post and found it sweet but when he found this particular conversation, Minato suddenly frowns.]

I'd appreciate it if you don't regard my wife like that. She's not an animal that needs to be kept on a leash.

[Of course, he knows Vegeta meant Minato should keep her in line but he doesn't have any right to say this.]

It does. You can continue to be Kaoru and I's apprentice for awhile then strike out on your own.

You'll know her if you see her. She looks a lot like me, except she's taller and in her thirties rather than in her teens.

[Pause.]

How did you meet my father?

No father wants to be a total geek in the eyes of his little girl.

I think I'm luckier to have him here. I would have totally freaked out when first I got here if he hadn't been here to find me.

I'm Bulla. Bulla Brief. And it doesn't need any etchings. I'm fine with keeping it simple.

Did you have a good night's sleep last night? It takes some focus to learn, so it's best if you're alert without being on a caffeine buzz.

... Very well. I will send for you over the journals when they are completed - it should take no longer than ten days.

[She's nodding, but only later will Adela herself change her mind about a simple design; though the gauntlets will be streamlined and will essentially be clothed gloves with armored plating, it's thanks to Vegeta that a particular crest will be etched and coloured dark blue onto each of them.]

Thanks! I'll let you know, but I think my brother and his friend Haruka are probably going to be next.

[She told Trunks she'd show everyone a picture over the journals...but that doesn't mean she can't march him through town in her creations.]

I'm glad you like it, though. I'm having a lot of fun learning how to make things.

I'd like to do this at home. I hadn't really thought about what kind of career I wanted while I was in high school...but I think whenever I do go home, I'd like to start my own clothing line. I'm not a technology genius like Mom and Trunks. I can't invent things the same way that they can. But I can be creative in my own way.

(ooc: Ooops, I fail and actually didn't know Trunks had moved out.)

I've been busy learning how to design clothes, Trunks, but not busy enough to miss that.

Then we can not only have Fashion Club, but maybe the Luceti Fashion Alliance - a small collection of Fashion Club approved designers. Quinn's definitely got a future in jewelry making. If you want any jewelry made to compliment pieces you're working on, talk to her.

I'm looking forward to it. When should I come over to measure your wings for your cloak and tunic?

[Watch out, Adela. She'll probably make something as an added bonus.]

[She's shaking her head.]

Worry not over it till you have your gauntlets. I will not accept payment a moment before I am certain that you are satisfied with the craftsmanship.

Well, it's a trade so I should really be working on your request at the same time....

[... Damn it, she's got her there. It takes Adela a moment to nod in agreement.]

I will be busy until... I believe it is the twentieth of this month. Is there a time after that which will work?

How about the twenty first? I'll measure your wings and you can measure my hands on the same day.

I have a prior meeting in the afternoon, but once that is done I will be free to meet with you. Where should we do so?

Whatever helps you sleep better at night, fashionista. I mean, the name itself sounds vaguely religious. No judgments though, at least not verbally.

I can respect that. Admire it, even. I'm nearly incapable of working with machines. They...confuse me, and they don't like me. So my creative pursuits have all been through art. And clothing is definitely a form of art. [And while she may not wear clothes like Bulla might design often...she does at times.]

And, if you don't mind, I may have a favor to ask.

Ah denial, it isn't just a river.

[He shakes his head]

Now you got me making bad puns and jokes. Terrible.

It depends on what it is. [He glances over, not moving otherwise.]

[He grins. Yeah, he'd like that. Besides, he hasn't gotten to exercise any frustration out on Trunks for past deeds like he would of liked to.

But, he's just going to hide that so his son doesn't chicken out.]
