[The video snaps on to reveal a parlor, a doorway behind the young blue-haired girl leading into the living room of the home that it had been built onto. A faint crackle of a fireplace resonates throughout the room, chairs positioned around a central table. The location of many a Fashion Club meeting, its use today was for something similar, but certainly not of the norm. Today, an important announcement was to be had, as well as an example to fashion that everyone should take note of.]

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show off something I made for a minute. Also, thanks so much to Hikaru for the sewing and fashion design lessons. If anyone wants something really gorgeous, you should totally go to Hikaru and Kaoru.

[She motions off-screen, although the person she’s trying to send some sort of signal to isn’t in view yet.]

Presenting...my first experiment in men’s fashion!

[She makes a little face when her signal isn’t responded to right away. Someone has missed his cue.]

C’mon Dad! You promised!

Alright, alright.

[From the side, he walks in, not quite looking dejected, but pretty close- hands in his pockets and looking away grouchily as he stands next to her. There’s an obvious bit of embarrassment in Vegeta’s face, but then again, it could be worse. And well, he did think he looked pretty good in the outfit she’s made for him.]

Thanks, Dad.

[Bulla is proud of her first successful attempt at making men’s clothing that doesn’t fit weirdly. She managed to go right from design, to making a simple pattern, and this is the end result. The outfit in question is a white turtleneck that’s fitted without being skin tight, complete with khaki pants, a belt, and a necklace.]

I didn’t make the necklace or the belt, but I did make the sweater and pants myself. So, Dad? How does it feel? It’s comfortable, right?

[He looks over to her, flushing lightly at the question. What, he’s got to give his opinion on this too? He didn’t sign up for this, at least he didn’t remember agreeing to such a thing. He was supposed to wear the darn thing, be done with it, and go about his business.]

It’s a shirt and pants, and they fit, I guess. I don’t see what’s so special about it.

[He folds his arms over his chest, the feel of the necklace irritating him further. He’s never worn one in his life and he can’t believe this was the start of it. Was this really fashionable for males to wear on Earth? How absurd.]

[Bulla whirls around with her hands on her hips.]

Dad! You don’t have to make it sound like it’s a chore. You could have just agreed that it’s comfortable.

Ah-! Fine, fine! [He picks at the sleeve uncomfortably.] None of it is uncomfortable to wear, and this turtleneck actually fits me in the shoulders and arms for a change, unlike that ridiculous clothing the Earthlings make back at home. There, is that what you were looking for?

[Bulla smiles and nods. She’s not going to expect him to talk about how great the clothes are. Just a little bit of public praise rather than grumping about it not being special is all she really wanted. The fact that he’s willing to support her interest is the more important thing overall.]

Thanks, Dad. That’s much better. I think we’re almost done here. But first I want to know what everyone thinks of my first try at men’s fashion! Your feedback is appreciated, everyone.

[She's just going to watch quietly for a bit, thoughtful at the display. She... Isn't quite sure of the fashion itself, but it does seem like there is a seamstress here. One that isn't that irritating boy she saw on the journals a few days ago. Granted, she's the daughter of the guy she said she'd commission a sword for the other day but... Well, she won't address that just yet.

Instead she would address the other things that were going on. Namely, the fact that the girl was designing clothing... Granted, she was asking for opinions, but Adela has another request in mind.]

I want to know if you are interested in a trade - metalworks for clothes' tailoring.

[She never did get it done the other day...]

Sure! What did you need done?

[She's not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but she has proven to be a quick study. And maybe Hikaru and Kaoru aren't interested in metal working.]

I never got my tunic or cloak properly altered to accommodate for my wings. That is all I need.

[Well, and a little patch work, but she can do that herself.]

Oh, that's pretty easy. I can do those kinds of alterations without a problem.

[Not quite as easy as a pant hem, but if it's just making the holes for the wings and stitching them up so they have tidy seams, that's perfectly manageable.]

Very well.

[That wasn't so bad. She looks a lot more relaxed, thoughtful for a beat before looking at Bulla.]

Is there anything in particular you would require? Weapons, armor, or something that needs welding perhaps...

[Bulla thinks about it for a moment.]

Hmm....well, I usually just fight using hand to hand combat, but it might be good to have a weapon in case I can't use my powers. Maybe something like brass knuckles?

[You've earned a puzzled look, Bulla. Apparently she's never heard of brass knuckles, although...]

Interesting that you would choose brass... Perhaps a gauntlet would suit your fancy. I prefer to create steel but if you insist on brass it can be done. Or I can make certain that the steel is colored to look like it.

Oh, steel is fine. I just want a weapon that's suited for someone with mostly hand to hand combat training. My friend Tenten is a weapons expert and she thought I should probably stick to martial arts rather than learning a weapon.

Well, it sounds as if a gauntlet would be idyllic for you. [A nod and she continues to speak, and suddenly she seems more invested in the conversation...] A steel gauntlet would provide additional defense as well as more blunt damaging power than a bared fist alone. I can take measurements for your fit and potentially see what colouring I can do for the metal, depending on what you like.

Hmm...I think I'd like the metal to either be silver, gold, or black coloured. Something I could match with a lot of different outfits.

[Yes, that is a concern.]

Silver would be simplest, as that is its natural colour. Any particular etchings you would like added onto it, ah...

And finally she stops babbling long enough to look a little sheepish.]

... I never caught your name... Mine is Adela.

I'm Bulla. Bulla Brief. And it doesn't need any etchings. I'm fine with keeping it simple.

... Very well. I will send for you over the journals when they are completed - it should take no longer than ten days.

[She's nodding, but only later will Adela herself change her mind about a simple design; though the gauntlets will be streamlined and will essentially be clothed gloves with armored plating, it's thanks to Vegeta that a particular crest will be etched and coloured dark blue onto each of them.]

[He recognizes her from before. The forger. She got kinda lippy with him, but it was no skin off his nose. He's used to that.]

[Oh right him. She tries not to look too put out, nodding and leaning back where she was sitting as she answers.]

I have not, but it will take some time. I also know not what style or engravings you require for your blade, so unless you wish for me to surprise you with the end result it is something I need to know.

[He's actually surprised she's still willing. He was sure he'd pissed her off enough to refuse service, as he does with most people.]

A simple double edged sword will work just fine. But I wasn't aware you also did engravings.

It is not my area of expertise, but I have enough experience that I should be able to produce something at least satisfactory.

[Nodding though, because that means she can use her own sword as a model. Maybe something smaller so that it's easily usable with just one hand...]

Well, that's changed everything. I may have something that I'd be interested in to help mark that they are mine. A crest. It's simple enough, you'd have to be pathetic to screw it up.

Very well. I will require a sketch of your crest, if possible. Come by the forge this afternoon and I will be present to receive it.

[Nodding. See, this is is what she's used to - a customer being demanding. It's not the most pleasant thing to deal with, but it's definitely something she can handle.]

Very well. I'll see you then.

[Closing the journal, he will go to do some of his usual routine- but not until he's managed to draw his family crest to his satisfaction, arriving at the blacksmith in the afternoon as instructed with the piece of paper in hand.]

[Walking in, he looks for Adela. He's never come here before so he's unfamiliar with the layout. He only knew that it existed, nothing more.]

Ah, there you are.

[She's looking from behind the smithy's door before walking out - huh, this man isn't as tall as she thought he'd be. Still taller than her, though (curse her for being so short!)...

But that was neither here nor there. She's nodding to him, waiting expectantly for him to at least offer the sheet to her.]

I will also need your name, so I know who I must contact when it is completed.

Vegeta, Prince of all Saiyans. [Not that he expects her to use his title, because really, no one does anymore save a few. Mostly over it after this long.]

I suppose you'll be needing this, too.

[He hands her the piece of paper with his family's crest on it, that he worked really hard on okay. It had to look perfect.]

[That explains a lot about his attitude... She nods, glancing over him and taking the sheet. Simple, but intricate enough. She has little trouble believing that it's a royal crest, and with how the man holds himself...

There isn't even a trace of mockery in her tone when she speaks again, meeting his eye once more as she nods.]

It shall be done within a fortnight's time, your highness. I will personally see to it.

[He also doesn't detect any mockery in her voice. It surprises him a little, he announces himself out of pride for his race, but rarely is it returned with true respect.

Of course, he will not stop her from addressing him as thus either.]

Well, it's good to see some people around here have the capacity to show a little respect. [He means it too. There isn't a single word in that sentence that is snide towards her, but rather, towards the rest of the enclosure.]

... I assume most here do not arrive from a world where members of the monarchy are revered.
