[The video snaps on to reveal a parlor, a doorway behind the young blue-haired girl leading into the living room of the home that it had been built onto. A faint crackle of a fireplace resonates throughout the room, chairs positioned around a central table. The location of many a Fashion Club meeting, its use today was for something similar, but certainly not of the norm. Today, an important announcement was to be had, as well as an example to fashion that everyone should take note of.]

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show off something I made for a minute. Also, thanks so much to Hikaru for the sewing and fashion design lessons. If anyone wants something really gorgeous, you should totally go to Hikaru and Kaoru.

[She motions off-screen, although the person she’s trying to send some sort of signal to isn’t in view yet.]

Presenting...my first experiment in men’s fashion!

[She makes a little face when her signal isn’t responded to right away. Someone has missed his cue.]

C’mon Dad! You promised!

Alright, alright.

[From the side, he walks in, not quite looking dejected, but pretty close- hands in his pockets and looking away grouchily as he stands next to her. There’s an obvious bit of embarrassment in Vegeta’s face, but then again, it could be worse. And well, he did think he looked pretty good in the outfit she’s made for him.]

Thanks, Dad.

[Bulla is proud of her first successful attempt at making men’s clothing that doesn’t fit weirdly. She managed to go right from design, to making a simple pattern, and this is the end result. The outfit in question is a white turtleneck that’s fitted without being skin tight, complete with khaki pants, a belt, and a necklace.]

I didn’t make the necklace or the belt, but I did make the sweater and pants myself. So, Dad? How does it feel? It’s comfortable, right?

[He looks over to her, flushing lightly at the question. What, he’s got to give his opinion on this too? He didn’t sign up for this, at least he didn’t remember agreeing to such a thing. He was supposed to wear the darn thing, be done with it, and go about his business.]

It’s a shirt and pants, and they fit, I guess. I don’t see what’s so special about it.

[He folds his arms over his chest, the feel of the necklace irritating him further. He’s never worn one in his life and he can’t believe this was the start of it. Was this really fashionable for males to wear on Earth? How absurd.]

[Bulla whirls around with her hands on her hips.]

Dad! You don’t have to make it sound like it’s a chore. You could have just agreed that it’s comfortable.

Ah-! Fine, fine! [He picks at the sleeve uncomfortably.] None of it is uncomfortable to wear, and this turtleneck actually fits me in the shoulders and arms for a change, unlike that ridiculous clothing the Earthlings make back at home. There, is that what you were looking for?

[Bulla smiles and nods. She’s not going to expect him to talk about how great the clothes are. Just a little bit of public praise rather than grumping about it not being special is all she really wanted. The fact that he’s willing to support her interest is the more important thing overall.]

Thanks, Dad. That’s much better. I think we’re almost done here. But first I want to know what everyone thinks of my first try at men’s fashion! Your feedback is appreciated, everyone.

Nope, that's just Dad's natural hairstyle. But I'm glad you like the outfit.

... does everyone in your family have amazing hair? [Wanda's sense of "Cool" when it comes to hair cuts might be a bit off kilter.]

How hard was it to make? ... My father has broad shoulders too-- not as broad as yours, though.

Not too hard. Hikaru's going to teach me how to tailor a design to a person's individual build. In this case, I designed the sweater and then took it in.

[She grins at the comment about their hair.]

And yeah, nice hair runs in the family.

That's very... very cool. ... Can you make clothing for girls, too?

Why do you think I started learning how to design clothing in the first place?

Could you-- make something for me? [Is it to forward to ask that? It's probably too forward to ask that. OH WELL.]

Only if you promise to wear it on the club's opening night.

[ARE YOU A MIND READER?!] I'd-- love to! That's... That's what I was hoping!

[No seriously, are you? Wanda is creeped out by mind readers. How did you know?!]

Awesome! You get to have a cute new outfit and I get to show off my work.

Sure! How about I give you your first flying lesson after I take your measurements? We'll have a snack and some ginseng tea so you'll have lots of energy.

[He's caught between being called handsome and asking if his hair is styled. Two conflicting emotions fighting for control, so he goes ahead and decides on the one he's most familiar with.]

Styled? You don't just style a pure-blooded Saiyans hair!

... how do you make it look that good then? ... magic? [That's how she styles her own hair, at least. ]

Ah-! [That makes him subconsciously have a hand go up behind his head.]

Magic?! Absolutely not! We Saiyans are born with our hair the way our genetics intended for it to be.

Ohhh, good genetics! ... that makes sense. ... Well you're very lucky, then. ... I like how it... stands up. [That is actually a complement; she's clearly very articulate.]

[Wanda, he doesn't know how to react to that. No one has ever told him that, ever.]

I suppose I'll take that as a compliment.

[Bulla has weird friends.]

[Yes. Yes she does. And Wanda is but one in a sea of weird.]

... Good. I meant it to be one.

[It occurs to her that this is maybe not the best first-impression meeting of her friend's father.]

... Bulla is, um, very talented. And kind. ... I like her a lot. [Which is her way of trying to say: You have succeeded as a father. Congratulations.]

I understand that I'm the intimidating type, but you don't have to stutter every five seconds. [He accepts all of Wanda's compliments about his daughter and indirectly, himself, but keeps it to himself, of course.]

Believe it or not, I'm not going to blast you into oblivion if you trip up on your words. [...Anymore.] So calm down, and why don't we start from the beginning. I didn't catch your name.

... I'm Wanda. [And this is just how she talks around any new person. She frowns, feeling embarrassed at being called out on it. Plus: She's not used to people threatening to blast her. It's usually the other way around.]

... I don't think you're intimidating. [No more so than any other stranger.] ... I just... I like to-- think before I speak. [Oh god it's getting worse.] ... My brother says I insult people by being too honest, and-- that's not my intent. I don't want to insult people.

Wanda huh? Well, all I've got to say to that is if they can't handle the truth, then that's their problem. [He's not totally convinced that she's not intimidated because most people are. He's really used to it.]

... True. That sounds like something my father would say. [A high complement, in Wanda's opinion.] I'll try to think less around you, then, though I'm pretty sure I'll end up sounding like an idiot that way. [Case in point.]

Not that I'm discouraging thinking before you speak, but if you've got to do it that much just to form a sentence, I think you're looking a little too far into it.

[It's sort of Vegeta's roundabout way of saying 'why are you so worried what other people think of you'. He doesn't think she's been idiotic as she's just been awkward, which isn't quite the same thing. Plus her speech was annoying him with all the strange breaks in it.]

I wouldn't know. I think I'd rather err on the side of not talking. I'm not used to being around people. Um. I'm not good with them, I mean. Bulla's the first friend I've had I'm not related to or living with. She's the first girl I've known my own age ever. I'd rather not upset her family. She speaks highly of you. [Yeah, her halting speech is obnoxious. Trying to not over analyze what she's saying now, though, she feels like her mouth is just running, and she can't shut up. Oh god, why is there no middle ground?! Vegeta is intimidating her, now, not with his muscles, but his judgements.]
