10th Taunt | Video (Backdated to July 1st)

[misterbrief]

[He's not going to beat around the bush. When the video pops on, it's clear Vegeta is in his workout clothing, in the Battle Dome, and looking HORRIBLY ANGRY because SOMEONE has been pranking him for the past week with Justin Beiber.]

Alright, I'm only going to say this once. Whoever the prankster is that continues to play that hideous music during my training sessions is going to pay with their life. When I find you, I'm going to rip both of those arms of yours right out of their sockets.

And if any one of you know who it is, you had best tell me now. I might even consider letting you get out of this scot-free if you turn in the clown that continues to elude me.

[And with that, he slams the journal shut in anger. He'll check it again later that night, when he's cooled down a bit.]

[He just smiles back at Mac.]

Alright then. I believe you. [Only because someone just confessed.]

I must thank you, without your help I would have never been able to get a confession.

Wait, what? [He blurts out, feeling a sharp, sick twist in his gut.] From who?

Why, none other than Vash the Stampede. He was so concerned for your safety that he finally decided to speak up and save your hide.

Vash... [He repeats under his breath, his stunned, wide-eyed gaze turning inward. His chest tightens at the thought of someone he didn't even know looking to protect him, an act of kindness rarely if ever experienced back home. And someone who now had to suffer God knows how.]

This whole thing you been doin' with me... [He frowns, struggling to understand.] ...was jus' to put pressure on 'im?

[misterbrief]

That's right. Now, I didn't know it was him, but, I can always count on the soft-hearted to screw up.

[He sets back, looking very content with himself.]

[That look of pure self-satisfaction is all too familiar, cutting close to the bone, and Mac fights to tamp down the anger that isn't already darkening his expression and leaking into his voice.]

Y'got what you wanted -- now leave Vash alone.

[misterbrief]

No way. He's getting a taste of his own medicine, ten-fold.

[The defiance in his voice speaks his true nature, he'll do what he wants no matter what anyone says.]

He needs a moment for it to sink in -- and when it does it takes some of the heat out of him, his shoulders relaxing.] So you ain't gonna beat 'im up? [His voice holds a faint note of skepticism.]

Now, I never said that. You're jumping to conclusions. After all, this wouldn't be the first time I've ran his body through a brick wall. I know exactly what punishment to administer to that idiot.

That ain't the way you're ever gonna get any respect. People gonna fear you, an' maybe that's what you want, I don' know, but that sure as hell ain't the same thing.

That's where you're wrong, friend. Fear works wonders. You have no idea. [He hasn't forgotten.] I'd suggest you try it sometime, but I don't think you could scare a small child let alone anyone around here.

I ain't tryin' to. [The line of his jaw sharpens.] I know I'm better than that.

[He knows what people like Mac are like. Such goodie-two shoes.]

[Oh dear, the last thing Vash wanted was for someone to possibly get in a fight with Vegeta over what was suppose to be a harmless prank. So a few minutes later to make sure the message is Vegeta-proof Vash chimes in.] It's alright, really. I can handle whatever grumpy has planned. [Oh god he hopes so.] No need to get worked up over a harmless little prank. It's fine, really! I know how to handle people like Vegeta! [Run away sobbing!]

Vash! ...Are you sure? [He hates feeling utterly powerless in this. It's possible Vash is only trying to convince him as to keep him safe.]

[Got it in one. Vash is planning on shipping out on a mission asap to be safe. Not that he'd let that show.] Yeah. This actually isn't the first time I've gotten on his bad side. It'll be fine, really. Sorry he started blaming you for it. Heh, went a little farther than I meant it to.

To be honest, it don' seem too hard for anybody to get on his bad side real quick. Jus'... stay safe, alright? An' no more a' these pranks, or who knows what he's gonna do.

[It's hard, so hard, not letting Vegeta get a rise out of him. Or any more of one than he already has. A nagging voice in the back of his mind urges him to go, to snap the journal shut and put this out of his mind. But he feels like he'll never hear the end of this if he does. Though maybe it won't change either way. Some people never let up.] ...
