10th Taunt | Video (Backdated to July 1st)

[misterbrief]

[He's not going to beat around the bush. When the video pops on, it's clear Vegeta is in his workout clothing, in the Battle Dome, and looking HORRIBLY ANGRY because SOMEONE has been pranking him for the past week with Justin Beiber.]

Alright, I'm only going to say this once. Whoever the prankster is that continues to play that hideous music during my training sessions is going to pay with their life. When I find you, I'm going to rip both of those arms of yours right out of their sockets.

And if any one of you know who it is, you had best tell me now. I might even consider letting you get out of this scot-free if you turn in the clown that continues to elude me.

[And with that, he slams the journal shut in anger. He'll check it again later that night, when he's cooled down a bit.]

No, I think that'll be enough for now. [He does look visibly calmer, so maybe mission accomplished?]

[He finishes off the bit of sushi she'd brought him, sitting back.]

You know, there was no need for you to seek me out.

[windandrain]

[She smiles softly, mostly to herself.]

Was there a reason for me not to? You're my friend, and it's our dinner night. You were also upset. [Her lips quirk a bit.] I thought you'd prefer some pleasant company. And food.

Besides, I was hungry too. This way we had dinner earlier, and outside under the sky at that.

[misterbrief]

[He's not sure how to respond to that because it was very sweet of her to do that and well, it will take a long, long time for him to stop being uncomfortable every time someone does something nice for him like this. He looks down at the ground, shifting.]

...I guess...

Well, you were hungry, right?

[She understands that he will be like that, but this is really just her way.]

Was there enough?

[misterbrief]

[He nods silently at her. He did get enough, he could always eat more but he prides himself on being able to not be a pig like Kakarot.]

[windandrain]

Good. And do you feel a little bit more calm?

[misterbrief]

Yeah. [He turns his head and looks away, being all tsundrere about it.]

[windandrain]

Good. [That's important. Arms are good.]

You know, it's funny, it's been over a year since we started having sushi dinners.

[misterbrief]

[He looks back over, thinking on it. Had it really been that long already?]

A year ago I was certain I'd have all of us out of this blasted place by now.

[windandrain]

And a year ago I was fairly sure we'd have shattered the barrier. But all we've learned since then has just been more and more bleak.

[misterbrief]

[He rips out some blades of grass. He doesn't like thinking about that much.]

What I wouldn't give to be home right about now. This sucks.

[windandrain]

[She shakes her head and reaches out to touch his arm. Neither does she...but...]

And just end up back here again, with no memory? No. No, we need to be here. I'd...rather be home too, you know. But I don't want to just go and leave all this unfinished.

And I...would feel a little sad, leaving certain people behind.

[misterbrief]

[He sighs. Yeah, that wouldn't be good. And what if he returned here with no memory, and younger than he was now...he's sure that might be catastrophic. He also knows she's right, but.]

You wouldn't remember it anyway. That doesn't matter. [If anything it's just obvious that he's frustrated, impatient, and even he can get homesick.]

[windandrain]

[She folds her hands into her lap.]

Would you rather I left and returned, forgetting you? If you don't like that thought, then it does matter.

[misterbrief]

[He grows silent. He wouldn't want that, not at all. But he can't let that on, of course not.]

I'd manage. I would have to, what else am I going to do about it.

[windandrain]

[It's alright, she gets that sense from his silence.]

Fight back where you can. I'd expect nothing less.

[misterbrief]

[A very small, barely tugging at the corners of his mouth smile comes across his face.]

I think I could manage that. Seems simple enough.

[windandrain]

I hope so. It is what you're best at.

[misterbrief]

[He laughs quietly. She's right, and he knows it. And he likes knowing it too.]

I'm going to head home. I'm in a better mood.

[windandrain]

Alright. I'll head back myself then.

[Already gathering things up, she's cleaning up the mess.]

[misterbrief]

[He puts the plates and such that's in front of him next to her other things, not liking to be a slob himself before he stands up and brushes himself off.]

[He stands there silently, watching her finish cleaning up. It's his own way of saying thank you without actually saying it, as he's not left yet like he normally would have.]

[Well, she gets that. And they eventually get it all cleaned up and off they go.]
