I did indeed. And I've never felt better. [Says the man who is currently covered in blood heading home.]

That noise was you then?

[She steps closer, holding up a hand that pulses with soft blue light.]

[misterbrief]

Who else would it be? There's no one around here who's capable of that kind of power, and you know it. [Man, he is so proud of himself right now. He won the fight!]

[windandrain]

You say that. You've never seen myself or Loki truly cut loose. [She does respect his strength, even if she'd rather rip his face off.] And there are enough mortal sorcerers who could do the same.

[She eyes him with arched brows]

Is that your blood?

[misterbrief]

Well, I've yet to see it. So until then. [He lets that statement hang.]

Of course it's my blood, who's else would it be?

[windandrain]

Goku's. A bystanders.

[Duh?]

[misterbrief]

No, I'm afraid it's neither of those, though it is possible I've got a bit of Kakarot's on me. [So what? It's blood. Nothing he hasn't seen before, especially all over himself.]

[windandrain]

Good.

[It's all she says before her glowing palm impacts squarely against his face in a stinging slap. Sure, she's filled it with Nala's healing powers to offset any injuries, but she doesn't feel the need to make it hurt less.]

[misterbrief]

[His face turns with her hand across his face, a sharp crack that he's all too familiar with. It's not the first time he's been slapped, but it is the first time by someone other than Bulma.]

[He stands silently for a moment, not quite registering why she'd slapped him. What had he done?]

What's gotten into you, huh?

[windandrain]

[She looks down at him, mouth set into a thin line.]

You were hurt. I did something about it. But you could have hurt someone. The enclosure isn't exactly large enough for a brawl like that. I have family there, people I care about. Mortals who can't stand up to your brand of mayhem.

[misterbrief]

We were plenty far out for our battle. There was no harm to be done to the village, we made sure of it. I have family here too, if you remember. [He glares right back at her. He's not budging on this.]

I've seen what you two can do. If you'd missed, a stray blast could've caused a landslide in the mountains and killed someone. Or the village.

[She glowers for a moment...]

[windandrain]

[...and then laughs, her face breaking into a smile and all the tension gone.]

And if you think I was serious you need to get your head checked. It sounded exciting! I wish you'd had more sense, but I know you better than that by now. You wouldn't endanger Bulma.

[misterbrief]

Saori! How dare you slap me, especially with that ridiculous look on your face now! How could you!?

[Was she seriously shitting him this whole time, he totally believed her too!]

You deserved it. Because there's something I want you to remember.

[The smile fades briefly and her voice grows intensely cold.]

If you hurt Yuuna, Vegeta. By accident or intent I will kill you where you stand. The curse on someone who'd hurt you is childish compared to what would happen to someone hurting her. I hope you understand that.

[And then she smiles again, her demeanor a little manic at the moment. She's glad he got to have a fight he enjoyed. But it's a warning she needed to deliver. It's been a rough few weeks.]

Beyond that, I think you were being foolish, but who am I to deny you your fun. I've wrecked villages for the same reasons.

[A pause.]

You won your fight, yes?

[misterbrief]

[He just blinks a few times. That is some kind of serious mood swinging if he's ever seen it, and he has seen some serious mood swinging.

Women.

Just let it go. It's the best for everyone.]

Yes, I did. And it's about time, I've been waiting years to beat that fool. Now I'm the strongest between the two of us.

[windandrain]

[For the best.]

Oh? How far behind you is he, anyway?

[misterbrief]

Oh, he's a great deal behind me. And I don't think he's ever going to catch up. [Not after he gets his tail, he thinks.]

[windandrain]

I meant time-wise. How many years separate you two?

[misterbrief]

Hmmmm. Fifteen years. Give or take.

[windandrain]

A long time, then. I guess he has a lot of catching up to do.

I guess...I should tell you that he and I attacked the barrier this afternoon.

[misterbrief]

And I'm sure it did the two of you no good. Sounds like Kakarot to give it a go on the barrier. [Really, this is his 'surprised' face.]

[windandrain]

He's so earnest. How could I not at least attempt to help him. Has he always been like that?

[misterbrief]

Ha. Kakarot, yes, he has. Since I can remember. Great, noble Kakarot. The two of you will be fast friends, I'm sure of it.

[Because who doesn't Goku become friends with, really.]
