[In the last few months after arriving in Luceti, Vegeta (somehow) has managed to meet a variety of the inhabitants, somehow miraculously making "friends" and creating enemies alike, but he's noticed one common theme among almost every person he's come across.

This absolutely strange obsession everyone seems to have with his hair.

Which today, has prompted the Saiyan Prince to angrily express himself on the matter.]

Listen. I know most of you may not know me, but if we cross paths- yes, this is my actual hair. [He turns his head so the video can clearly catch all of his anti-gravity mop.] It's not held up by any artificial means, it's not a wig. I don't use this "industrial style hair gel" some speak of, I don't blow dry it to perfection, and I certainly have no intention of letting any of you try to brush it, comb it, touch it, or otherwise come near my hair to satisfy your curiosity.

A Saiyan's hair does not change from the moment they are born. I've always had this hair, though I have cut it to this length to match earthling hair, as it was much longer in the past. [His daughter made him cut it. It was nerdy.]

So I don't want to hear anything more about it, from anyone, or I'll be more than happy to blast you.

No, I took it out on the bullies in school first, and then once I got a fake I.D. I started taking it out on the jerks in the bar.

Sorry, by that logic I just assumed you never attended school. [You ran a car into a canyon, you couldn't of been that bright, at least he thinks so.]

You know, if you bothered to ask, you'd know I'm actually fairly smart. I'm a whiz with tech, and I hacked Spock's Kobayashi Maru program.

And I'm a Captain because - well, I do what needs to be done. And helping save Earth was extra credit.

I don't like rules, if you can't tell. Spock, Scotty, and Chekov are better with numbers, but I'm better with hard wires and... thinking outside the box.

You don't seem the type to fit into the military, which is what I assume Star Fleet is. In fact I'm surprised your superiors didn't kick you out the day you arrived.

He knew my dad before he died... right as I was born. I think it was back in Academy days... and then reading some accounts of what happened. He did a dissertation on it, my dad's last and only moments as Captain.

[He sits silent for a moment.]

On a suicide run with the ship, trying to stop Nero's ship from doing more damage and saving as much of the crew as he could.

The auto-pilot function had been wrecked, so the only way for everyone to get off was for manual piloting. The Captain was dead, so... my dad was next in line. He did what needed to be done.

I see. That is how it should be; a warrior does not run from battle, he stays and fights to see it through, to defeat his enemy or die trying. Your father died with honor. And you should be proud to be his son.

I am, don't get me wrong. He's admired, in Star Fleet. Just... his shadow is kind of big.

That's only an obstacle if you allow it to be one. Your blood alone determined that you would be a Captain, I see this now. And correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that you've already surpassed him. So I don't see what the issue is. [Other than what Vegeta considers a poor taste in relations with women.]

Please, blood does not determine anything in my experience. I just... got his love of the stars, I guess.

And I don't think I've surpassed him. It's hard to surpass a man who sacrificed everything for his entire ship.

Your day will come. [Spoken from experience. He understands Kirk's situation, as best he can at least- someone who had surpassed their father in strength at an early age, only in the end to sacrifice himself for everyone he cared about. Yes, he knew, and one day he believed Kirk would too.]

Heh, maybe it'll be busting us all out of here. That would be pretty spectacular, huh?

Ha. If you manage that I'll let you get away with calling me a monkey for one whole day. Good luck.
