misterbrief | 6th Taunt

[It's been a few days since Father's Day. And he got a really nice surprise from his daughter that he never thought possible. Bulla training and honing her skills and power, it really meant something to him; so he's flipping his journal open now since Luceti played a large part of it. He's not even angry this time.]

It's come to my attention that a good number of you had a hand in the gift I received over the weekend. I will say I'm impressed- the lot of you have done the impossible with my daughter Bulla and it most certainly paid off. So for that...[His voice trails off, since saying these sorts of things isn't exactly natural to him.] For that I am grateful. I know a good portion of the time we are safe inside this barrier, but you must understand that I worry for her safety regardless.

So I suppose this is the part where I ask something else not so specific. The gift I received was for your Earthling holiday Father's Day. I've never put much stock in such things, but this last weekend certainly has changed my mind about it a little. Is this something you also observe in your own worlds? And if so, what is it that you've done or would do that you would consider worthy of your father?

When she kept going on about the great fighter her dad was, I never thought in a million years it could be you.

Maybe some day I'll give you a little demonstration of why my daughter brags about me so. It'll be a good show, I assure you of that. I'll let you watch me fight someone from my own world one day and you'll understand what true power is.

Either way, I assume you responded here because you helped Bulla. So tell me, what did the two of you do exactly? [He's interested, because he's half expecting to hear that Bulla beat the hell out of Korra.]

No way, think I'll pass. [ After the way their last meeting went, she isn't eager to be around him fighting again. ]

I showed her some of my non-bending techniques. What's it to you?

Am I not allowed to ask about the techniques she implored on me during our training? She learned a variety of styles that I never taught her, so I was only inquiring to get an idea.

But if you really taught her nothing substantial, I guess I have no need to thank you for it. Not surprising.

Of course I taught her something substantial! You just wouldn't want to hear about it, would you?

If I didn't want to hear about it I wouldn't of asked. [OOOOOOH WHY IS SHE SO IRRITATING.] I would have figured the Avatar would have at least something of worth. But maybe that's just Aang I'm thinking of.

I taught her some of the stuff I learned to fight against nonbenders. Is that enough for you?

I have a feeling even if I cared enough to ask at this point that you wouldn't tell me otherwise what that 'stuff' is. [Oh he could just blast something or someone right about now, and his voice reflects it.]

What am I supposed to say? Give you a how-to manual on it or something?

Or, you could learn some manners and start acting your age instead of a spoiled brat. I've known seven-year olds more mature than you.

[But to be fair it was Goten and he was the most respectful little kid most of the time when he was small. He likes Goten despite how annoying he can be sometimes.]
