[It's been a few days since Father's Day. And he got a really nice surprise from his daughter that he never thought possible. Bulla training and honing her skills and power, it really meant something to him; so he's flipping his journal open now since Luceti played a large part of it. He's not even angry this time.]

It's come to my attention that a good number of you had a hand in the gift I received over the weekend. I will say I'm impressed- the lot of you have done the impossible with my daughter Bulla and it most certainly paid off. So for that...[His voice trails off, since saying these sorts of things isn't exactly natural to him.] For that I am grateful. I know a good portion of the time we are safe inside this barrier, but you must understand that I worry for her safety regardless.

So I suppose this is the part where I ask something else not so specific. The gift I received was for your Earthling holiday Father's Day. I've never put much stock in such things, but this last weekend certainly has changed my mind about it a little. Is this something you also observe in your own worlds? And if so, what is it that you've done or would do that you would consider worthy of your father?

To be quite frank, not anything past that ridiculous marble trick of his. I've seen your grandfather also bend water and Korra has displayed earth, water and fire techniques, but that's about it.

[ ...okay that's the trick she normally shows people too and it is AWESOME TYVM, but probably isn't useful to gauge what they actually do. ]

I don't think you know enough about us and what we do to get it, then. But airbending isn't about a front-on fight like you're thinking, probably. It's about using the flow of other people's movements against them, but also about not needing to do that.

[ She's grown up with this philosophy, and can at least attempt to explain it - although in terms of "what does it do" it might boil down to "dodging the crap out of stuff and being annoyingly acrobatic" ]

Well, that's perfectly viable in a fight. I use that all the time, though it's probably not quite to the effect that yours is. [He grins pretty wickedly at the thought.] It's much faster.

You just say that 'cause you haven't seen airbenders in action. Bet you couldn't beat grandpa and I in a game of tag!

Tag? I wouldn't be caught dead playing that childish game. And besides, I'd catch the two of you so quickly you'd think that you had been standing still. [Bring it Ikki, bring it.]

Saying you won't play it just means you know you'll lose! If you think you won't, grandpa and I will take you on any time! And Bulla, so the teams're even.

I don't think you understand who you're dealing with! I've yet to meet a being here as fast as a Saiyan! I know I won't lose, and I don't need Bulla's help to catch either of the two of you. You're going to need all the advantages you two can get, not that it's going to make a difference.

We'll see!!! Just name a day and a time and we'll GET YOU.
