[Hey, look, he's back with another subject that he's getting real sick and tired of explaining to people. That and after all the crap that's happened to him in the past few months, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to let people know, especially after a conversation he had with Cliff recently.]

Now I'm only going to explain this to the lot of you once. Now watch.

[He's out next to a sheer cliff, at the base of the mountain range. The camera is set on top of another rock, as to show the Saiyan Prince with his hand raised and aiming toward the rock wall- and as soon as it's raised, a blast of energy decimates the wall with a loud boom, leaving it as a rocky heap, the dust slowly settling. Vegeta hasn't flinched, and is coming back to pick up his journal again. This may also give away exactly who was responsible for all those explosions that were heard from last week, if people are smart enough to put two and two together.]

Now, with enough diligent training and meditation, which you should be doing anyway, any of you can do that. It's a simple matter of controlling your energy, but if you're not physically fit enough you're not going to be able to do it. In fact, I'd be surprised if even one percent of you manage to be able to achieve even a fraction of the same destructive force I possess. Either way, that might be something you'll all want to start aiming for. And if you're too weak to fight? Fix it.

Now don't misunderstand me. I'm not looking to pick up students. But if you think you can handle it? Then come find me. We'll see what you're made of.

Private to Firo:

Boy, you've stayed hidden long enough. I've got someone for you to meet.

Private to Cliff:

I do believe you and I have things to discuss yet. I'll not have you jumping me anymore with those pathetic attacks of yours, we're fixing that.

Private to Saori:

If you want to see how it's done, I'll be in the Battle Dome the rest of the day. Don't be late.

Action:

[As promised, he'll be at the Battle Dome if anyone decides to try to seek him out. He'll be actually in a chamber, training in a complete power suppressed simulation, working on his battōjutsu that he's taken up learning. Otherwise, those who know where to find him at home can find him at House 29.]

You haven't a clue, boy. Just wait. I think you'll be surprised how many of your bones break so quickly. How about you just show up at the house first. You've still yet to show me some progress.

[Man he wants to see Bulla pulverize this kid so badly, but hey- it'll be good for both of them.]

[He sighs, giving one of his best glares. If looks could kill, it would be slightly more effective than his punches were on this guy.]

Yeah, yeah, save the talk, all right?

Just gimme a sec and I'll be there.

[For a moment he wonders if he should try flying there--he has improved since he last saw Vegeta--but decides against it. He doesn't want to waste all his energy on an entrance that he might completely mess up anyway.]

I'll be here. Hurry up. [It's not like he doesn't have enough time, and he will stay true to his word and wait patiently at home for Firo.]

[He just nods as he shuts the journal.

Normally his curiosity would spur him to hurry over, but he does his best to walk at a normal pace out of spite. When he reaches Vegeta's house, he knocks on the door and calls out:]

Hey, I'm here!

[He answers the door, scowling a bit because it took the boy so long to get there, but either way he was here and that's all that mattered.]

Alright, first things first before I grab her. Let's see your progress.

[As soon as Vegeta says he wants to check his progress, Firo moves back out of grabbing range. He does not want to be tossed up into the air again, thank you very much.]

All right.

[If Vegeta doesn't move to "help" him, he'll take a deep breath to concentrate, and then focus his energy to lift himself about five feet off the ground.]

[He stands there, making no move to grab Firo this time, observing how far he's able to lift himself off the ground. Better.]

Is that all you can do? What about, you know, actually moving?

[He frowns, shaking his head.]

Can't you be patient? I'm gettin' to that.

[He wonders if the feeling of flying will ever not be weird to him; despite all his practice, he still has a little nagging fear that he could drop out of the sky. Nevertheless, he leans forward and starts moving through the air until he's about 20 feet from the house. Slowly letting out a deep breath, he turns back to look at Vegeta.]

[There's a flash of an approving smile, but it's gone as soon as Firo blinks, like it was never there at all. Well, the boy might be useful after all.]

Well. Looks like it's time for speed drills. [He floats up himself, turning toward the Battle Dome.] There and back, once. Try to keep up. [Of course, Vegeta's going to leave Firo in the dust, with a sudden blue energy flaming around him, and he takes off, a streak of blue in the sky.

THERE ARE REASONS FOR THIS, TRUST HIM.]

[Firo has pretty sharp eyes, but he wonders if that smile was just his imagination. Probably.]

Speed? How fast--?

[Well, shoot. He curses to himself and takes off, trailing after Vegeta. He can't go faster than what would be a light jogging speed if he were on land, certainly not nearly as fast as Vegeta. Part of him wants to sprint there with all the energy he has left, but he grits his teeth and forces himself to conserve it; he'll just have to take the hit to his pride when the inevitable insults about his slowness come.]

[He zips back and forth from the Dome to the house most likely before Firo's gone even a fourth of the way there. He knew Firo couldn't keep up the whole time.]

[He comes back to stop right in front the boy, hovering in midair.]

Now you see the goal. Got it?

[After seeing that--rather, after barely registering that speed--Firo's feeling pretty pathetic with his own efforts. He stops when Vegeta comes back, quietly cursing to himself as he can feel his energy already flagging.]

Y-yeah.

How long did it take you to get that... fast?

[He hesitates to compliment Vegeta, but there comes a point when you have to admit when something's impressive.]

For me, not as long as you think. I had this mastered early in my teenage years, and I only got faster from there. But of course, I'm an alien~, after all.

But cheer up. You might be able to meet a visible fraction of that speed some day before you die. Heheh. So that's what you can start working on. [He starts floating down toward the ground. Really, if Firo could improve his speed, he might even have enough energy to blast things one day. Right now, probably not.]

Come on. I think playtime's over and we can get down to business.

[Even though Firo basically asked for it, he scowls at Vegeta's answer, wishing he had the energy for a good retort. All he can do is shrug.]

Hmph, good for you.

[He follows Vegeta to the ground and lets himself drop once he has about two feet left to go.]

Did your kid even agree to this?

Oh, she doesn't even know. She's about to find out. [He walks inside, calling for her.]

Bulla! Where are you? Come here!

[Bulla's just finished applying the topcoat from doing her nails - which match with her outfit. She likes to colour coordinate when possible.]

I'll be right there!

[She walks into the room, blowing on her nails to dry them a little faster.]

What's up, Dad?

I've got someone I want you to meet. Here. This is Firo. He's been here a few times, though I don't think you've been home. I went ahead and took the liberty to find you someone you can train with that utilizes the same power as we do.

[Hey, he remembered Firo's name!]

[Seeing Bulla comes as a bit of a surprise to Firo, who'd been expecting a tiny Vegeta with the same attitude. He stares at her for a moment, then at Vegeta, then looks back to her and nods.

She doesn't look that tough, but Firo knows that's not something you can always judge by appearance.]

Oh, uh, hi. Nice to meet you.

[Bulla offers a smile and a wave in greeting. She is on the short side - enough that there's several inches' difference in height between her and her father. But her attitude is noticeably friendly.]

Hi Firo! So, you can use ki, huh? What have you learned to do so far?

[He'll stand there and let Firo answer that, of course. While keeping a hard eye on the boy.

Because that's what he does.]

[He smiles back, finally relaxing a little to see that she seems like an actual normal person. And then he notices Vegeta watching him and gives him a quick glance out of the corner of his eye.]

Just the basic stuff so far. A little bit of the flying, but not very fast yet.

[It hurts to admit that he's not very good at it, but Firo realizes that if they do wind up practicing together it's better to be as honest as possible.]

Well, that's still pretty good. There's a lot of martial artists who never learn how to use their ki like that, or who don't have enough to use for flying in the first place.

[Being half-saiyan, Bulla was just born with enough ki to do it and that was the one use of ki she'd grasped fairly easily.]

So...what kind of training did you have in mind, Dad? A flying race?

Well, I'd say this boy is in need of a partner who can knock him around a little bit. He's got to train so he gets more power, and I'll be quite honest, he's lacking. So I figured you would be a good start for him. Trunks would pound him into the ground without hardly lifting a finger.

[Firo's jaw tenses as he does his best to keep from objecting to being called "boy" again, though he doesn't keep himself from rolling his eyes.

When Vegeta's done, he pipes up:]

So, if you could help me out, we'd appreciate it. But you don't have to.

[He'd feel bad hitting (or trying to hit, if she's like her dad) a girl, especially if she didn't even want to fight him.]

I don't mind at all. If you have to spar while you're flying, you'll definitely get way better at using your ki.

[Mostly because it forces one to become so good at flying that it's second nature.]

So...um. This might sound like a weird question, but how much of a hit can you take?

[She doesn't want to punch him through a tree like she did when sparring with poor Tenten.]
