[He'd thought a lot about this, long and hard. But even with all the evidence presented to him over the past year and a half, that still was never enough for him. He didn't want to rely on anything else to fight, he had his own power and his own strength. But being caught like he did so many times on the draft by shifters, relying solely on his own natural strength to survive- there had just been too many close calls.

And he had needed help more than once. How much that ate at his mind was unfathomable except to a few. One day no one was going to be there to help him, even if he hated the very idea of needing help. And if he wasn't ready, where would he be? Put into a position that he allowed for himself to be in, to die. To be sacrificed, like he was already by that bomb the cultists used on them. And next time, he wouldn't be so lucky and he knew it. He still had his reservations about contacting the spirits. But, he felt as if he couldn't avoid it much longer.

Too many what ifs. What if even something so small from the spirits would have helped him? He was sick of it, sick of knowing that might be the only thing he could rely on against their enemy. The only thing that worked when all his other powers were disabled. But even so, there's still more he wanted to know. Because if there's anything he hates, it's wasting time on things that are pointless.]

[The video feed flickers on, revealing the face of the prince, looking as serious as ever. He gets straight to the point.]

I must know. For those of you who are in contact with the spirits here, what use do you find in their power? Especially in combat. I might even have the patience to listen to a story or two regarding that, as I find it incredibly important in this matter. [He glances off to the side, knowing how this goes in Luceti.]

I know some of you would prefer to speak in person about such things. I'll be at Mythoria Café later tonight. But I won't stay long.

Action:

[As always, he's easily found. During the day, either at House 29 or the Battle Dome training, with both his sword or with his abilities. He does keep his word, appearing at Mythoria Café after he's done training and showered for the day.]

That's quite the understatement to describe the atmosphere around here, if I do say so myself. [He glares at Vash for the use of the word 'friend'.]

Yeah, I suppose you got a point there. [Vash reaches forward to slap Vegeta in a friendly manner on the back.] But I'm glad to hear that you're taking everything in stride and are still your usual cheerful self! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

[misterbrief]

[He winces, not in pain, but in embarrassment when Vash slaps him on the back. And then even moreso when Vash starts laughing.]

Do you mind, I'd prefer my ear drums stay intact, moron! Good to see you're just as irritating as ever!

[goldenglasses]

I try to stay positive! [Vegeta is saved from the laughter as Vash takes another bite of his sandwich.] So, how is the training going? [He'll at least relent a little and talk about something Vegeta might have an interest in.]

[misterbrief]

My training is not to be discussed. [So basically, it's been going fine.] Why are you interested in that, anyway?

[Because friends can't ask questions like that apparently?]

[goldenglasses]

Oh. Okay then! [As he'd rather not talk about fighting anyway. He's perfectly fine with this.] To be honest, I'm not really interested at all, but you won't let me talk about my lunch so I have to find something you'd like to talk about, right?

[misterbrief]

I'd rather not allow you to speak at all. How about that.

[Vegeta is asking for it, isn't he]

[Possibly if he wasn't speaking to an idiot.] But how are we suppose to have a conversation if I don't speak?

[misterbrief]

Now you're starting to get the picture. [He looks back at Vash with a flat look.]

Shesh! Well, you're no fun! The spirits here are better at holding a conversation than you and they don't even talk

Or perhaps you're simply going insane by thinking those spirits are actually speaking to you or having any sort of intelligent conversation.

[Communicating through feelings? What the heck is that.]

After four years in Luceti you may be right! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

[misterbrief]

[Yeeeh. Four years. He hopes they'll end this madness before he's here for four years. AND THAT LAUGH, ALFJKASDKL;FJASKL;DFJ;AL. HE NEEDS DUCT TAPE, SOMEONE GET HIM SOME DUCT TAPE FOR VASH'S MOUTH.]

Speaking of which, I am here on business today, and you are wasting my time by babbling to me about this nonsense when I could be getting some work done!

[He waves his finger at Vash.] Not anything you'd be able to help with, unless you've got some extensive knowledge on how those spirits around here work. And I don't mean the basics.

Hm? Why would you want to know more about them? I thought Saiyans were the most powerful things like... ever. OH! Did you want to learn some healing? Nala is pretty friendly, but you'd do better with her if you weren't so grumpy all the time!

[misterbrief]

[He grits his teeth EVERYONE IS GETTING ON HIM ABOUT BEING GRUMPY]

I know of Nala's benefits, that's simple enough! I wanted to know more about combat usage, but Mr. Love and Peace here certainly must not know anything about that! [He remembers that broadcast Vash made a while back...]

[goldenglasses]

Combat? [Vash taps his chin for a brief moment tempted to use his fire skills from Eferin to toast his sandwich. In the end deciding he had messed with Vegeta enough for the moment.] True, I'm not much of a fighter. A coward really, but I don't think anything you could learn from the spirits could be better than what you can do already.

[misterbrief]

I know that. [He snaps. He doesn't get why everyone can't just read his mind and know that he wants to use the power a different way.] I mean when I can't use my own power. I'm looking for a backup plan, get it?

[goldenglasses]

When your powers don't work? [He takes a bite of food and chews for a moment. Assuming Vegeta must be talking about the shifters, Vash decides to play dumb anyway to be sure.] why wouldn't your powers work? [Spoken through a mouthful of food.]

[misterbrief]

You've been here for four years and you can't figure that one out?! It's because of those blasted shifters, the cowards!

[goldenglasses]

Ooooooh. [Munch. Munch. Chew.] But I thought the spirit's magic wouldn't work on them either.

[misterbrief]

What. [That is not what he wanted to hear.] What do you mean it doesn't work on them.

I don't really know. I avoid fighting as much as I can. Just thought when they turned off people's powers then ALL powers were turned off.

[misterbrief]

That's not what I came to understand. [But hell if he knows either! He's never used filial magic anyway.] You better hope you're wrong about this one because that was one of the very few things that we might of been able to count on around here!

[His anger is starting to build because he's talked to what he considers way too many people about this and if he did this for nothing he's going to blow something up he swears]
