[It's been a few days since Father's Day. And he got a really nice surprise from his daughter that he never thought possible. Bulla training and honing her skills and power, it really meant something to him; so he's flipping his journal open now since Luceti played a large part of it. He's not even angry this time.]

It's come to my attention that a good number of you had a hand in the gift I received over the weekend. I will say I'm impressed- the lot of you have done the impossible with my daughter Bulla and it most certainly paid off. So for that...[His voice trails off, since saying these sorts of things isn't exactly natural to him.] For that I am grateful. I know a good portion of the time we are safe inside this barrier, but you must understand that I worry for her safety regardless.

So I suppose this is the part where I ask something else not so specific. The gift I received was for your Earthling holiday Father's Day. I've never put much stock in such things, but this last weekend certainly has changed my mind about it a little. Is this something you also observe in your own worlds? And if so, what is it that you've done or would do that you would consider worthy of your father?

Let's say I'm the kind of person who makes sure we get good service at restaurants after the first unfortunate visit. [It might not be orthodox, but he'll make sure of it for next time.]

Well, first, we focused a bit on throwing projectiles and then we focused on close range combat with a staff. But, once I realized what incredible strength she had, I decided to focus on hand to hand combat, cause I figured she could just fly around things and then punch someone in the face for a knock out. [ FLAWLESS STRATEGY. ]

I keep thinking I should, but even if I try to study it a little, I'm not sure I actually have any talent for it.

Or I could just tell her that she might be able to expand her styles if she works on everything a little more.

I know she will. I just hope she is doing this not because she feels forced, but because she wants to. She doesn't live in a society of warriors as I did. I don't want her to have to live that life. Kill or be killed, no rules, and let the strongest survive. But I want her to be able to take care of herself when the inevitable happens and she is sent to the battlefield, but you already knew that.

[Which is fair, because let's face it- Vegeta doesn't really have manners half the time either.]

[He grits his teeth, because he knows Lee really didn't try to ruin it.] Yes, it was. But you really need to learn to put a lid that 'youthful' personality of yours. If I hadn't had such a hard time believing my daughter would spar of her own accord it would have been ruined.

[Ok, he's calming down, this is good.]

Maybe some day I'll give you a little demonstration of why my daughter brags about me so. It'll be a good show, I assure you of that. I'll let you watch me fight someone from my own world one day and you'll understand what true power is.

Either way, I assume you responded here because you helped Bulla. So tell me, what did the two of you do exactly? [He's interested, because he's half expecting to hear that Bulla beat the hell out of Korra.]

Here, I'll let you in on a little secret; Saiyans and even half-Saiyans aren't exactly like humans in either the mental or physical regard. That and they've got a built-in thirst for battle that is characteristic of our warrior race. Saiyans are incredibly strong, as you probably found out.

But that would explain why she got quite a few good hits in on me, and trust me that's not something I take lightly whatsoever. Keep this up and next thing you know she's going to be using a sword against me. Hm, how ironic.

The only style she likes to work on is her personal style. You're going to have to be more creative than that if you're serious about training with my daughter. [Though he can't deny paintball was pretty creative.]

There's no need to hound if they simply do their job. And for your information, I don't see how anyone would enjoy their dinner when their server stands in the back chewing bubblegum all night and bringing the food out an hour after it's been ordered.

I know what you're saying is right, but I can't help being a bit nervous to try it.

If you were going to say sorry, then why don't you just say it and be done with it? You Earthlings have so many preposterous sayings that I can't even keep it straight half the time. Just the other day some boy said 'tru-fax' to me in a written message over the journals and I still don't know what that is.

Am I not allowed to ask about the techniques she implored on me during our training? She learned a variety of styles that I never taught her, so I was only inquiring to get an idea.

But if you really taught her nothing substantial, I guess I have no need to thank you for it. Not surprising.

Argh, no, you don't literally crawl. It's a deplorable place with endless amounts of teenagers who have nothing better to do all day than shop. I hate going there, it's enough to drive any other sentient being insane.
